On 1 June 2007 the new European chemicals regulation (REACH) has entered into force. Abrasives such as coated, non-woven, bonded and super-abrasives are articles with no intended release. Abrasives manufacturers’ members of FEPA are well aware of the new REACH Regulation, and the timetables for pre-registration and registration. In any case they will ensure that all products will continue to be available under REACH. FEPA is providing support to its members and non-members for registration of substances necessary for manufacturing of abrasives products like Diamond and Cbn, Naphthalene.

Reach & CLP leaflets

Leaflet from the Commission services, in collaboration with ECHA, raises awareness and provides tips and reminders for companies regarding their tasks in the SIEFs. It will also remind them about the 3 January 2011 deadline for notification of Classification and Labelling set by the CLP Regulation.
